Food sticking to a pan, ruins both the food and the pan!
That's why we buy non-stick coated pans. It just makes life more simple.
But increasingly these coatings are getting a bad rap!
Our Cast Iron Cookware is pre-seasoned with vegetable oil and ready to use straight from the box. But every time you season cast iron you make it better and better and more non-stick...
But what does seasoning mean and what does it entail?
Seasoning is really pretty simple; wipe down your cast iron skillet with an edible oil of choice (olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, flaxseed oil). Then bake the pan in a hot oven... keeping the pan in there while the oven cools.
As the pan bakes, the oil smokes and creates a natural non-stick layer on the iron. The more layers you bake on the better!
There's no witchcraft involved in seasoning... it's easy, peasy!
AND, it'll give you cookware that lasts generations!
N.B. Don't overheat the pan... no food and pan are non-stick if overheated!
